- they’re all named after some sort of bird
- only a few of them have magic, and they’re the highest ranking families
- the ones with white hair (aka dean) are seers and are basically the most awesome/best with magic
- they almost never ever leave the forest, which is so dense the sky is always blocked out, making it dark (so their eyes are all big)
- the ones with magic are supposed to wear masks (especially seers) so people can’t look at their faces
- if they ever leave the forest and come in contact with outsiders, they can never return
- dean does whatever the fuck he wants and doesn’t wear a mask, because he’s dean, come on
